My Child has iOS device and I have an Android. How to setup Family Sharing?

The latest version of Mobicip app is the first parental control solution designed using Apple’s Screen Time Framework. Apple has released this framework to allow parental control software like Mobicip to support customized parental controls using key features like core restrictions and device activity monitoring to create safe, secure experiences while providing measurable control for parents and guardians. Since this version is officially enforced by Apple iOS, it cannot be removed or worked around by your child, and we don't have to tell you that kids these days are smarter than most of us adults. The new version also comes with better enforcement of screen time usage, precise location tracking, simplified internet usage reporting, and ease of setting up content filtering, among others. 

To setup Mobicip app on your child’s iOS device, you need to setup Family Sharing first. In case your child’s is the only iOS device in the household and you use an Android device, the setup involves a few more steps. While the installation process takes some time, once Mobicip is installed on your child’s iOS device, it gives a lot more control and accuracy than before.

The additional steps involve:

• Creating a new iCloud account for yourself through the child’s device (if you don’t have one setup already). Learn more

Invite and include your child’s iCloud account in the Family Sharing setup. Learn more

Step-by-step guide:

• Go to iOS Settings app on the child device
• Sign out of your current child iCloud account (if already logged in)

• Create an Apple ID for Mobicip account owner (yourself) and login to it. Learn more
• Enable Family Sharing. Learn more
• Invite/setup your child’s Apple ID under Family Sharing. Learn more
• Sign out of the parent account your just created and login with the child's Apple ID

PS: We recommend you not to enable "Ask to buy" option from child app Menu, to ensure approval from your (parent) iCloud account isn't needed for installing apps on your kid's device.

Once done, you can customize Mobicip settings and monitor your child’s activities from any device/browser by logging into your Mobicip account at www.mobicip.com.
